Regarding gun shows in Washington State, here are the facts. There are two different sponsors, Washington Arms Collectors does not do a background check at the time of purchase; instead it does a one time background check. So if somebody passed a check five years ago and then committed a felony or was declared mentally ill or was on a restraining order that person could still buy a gun at a gun show...is that what we want in a civilized society...is this what Thomas Jefferson had in mind over two hundred years ago?

The other sponsor Knudsen does not even require a one time background check.
