Weather forecasts used to be very unreliable with major events like the 1962 Columbus Day Storm and 1938 Hurricane -- being essentially unforecast. But something has changed. By the early 1990s, technology had significantly enhanced our ability to predict the weather, and the future promises exciting advances. In this Science Café, join UW Atmospheric Sciences professor Cliff Mass, PhD to explore the improving technology of weather prediction.
