Weather forecasts used to be very unreliable with major events like the 1962 Columbus Day Storm and 1938 Hurricane -- being essentially unforecast. But something has changed. By the early 1990s, technology had significantly enhanced our ability to predict the weather, and the future promises exciting advances.
