Rivers draining from Mt. Rainier support salmon and people. However, they also carry heavy loads of sediment that fill the channels and increase flood risk. Join the U.S. Geological Survey’s Chris Magirl, PhD, to discuss the causes of floods and approaches to reduce the threats of flooding in our communities.
