All Aboard! Air Quality Implications of Trains in Seattle

Speaker: Dan Jaffe, Ph.D., School of Science & Technology, UW-Bothell

Trains have been standard in the Pacific Northwest for over a hundred years, transporting resources where they need to go. However, only recently have researchers been studying the environmental impacts of train traffic, especially surrounding air pollution arising from coal transportation. At the February Queen Anne Science Café, join UW-Bothell’s Dan Jaffe, Ph.D., to delve into the effects of train transportation on air quality, and explore what impacts future train traffic can have in Seattle.
