About Dan Savage

Dan Savage is a writer, media pundit, and journalist perhaps best known for his relationship and sex advice column, "Savage Love." Savage has been outspoken in political matters, particularly those pertaining to gay rights and sexuality. In 2010, he began the "It Gets Better Project" after the suicide of 15 year old Billy Lucas, who was bullied in school because of his sexual orientation. The project solicited over 5,000 videos from gay and lesbian adults assuring teens that life will be better in spite of harsh bullying early in their lives.
