KCTS 9 Educational Workshops: Using Television to Teach
Interacting with lessons on television to reinforce learning.
What is the last thing that you learned from TV? Children learn from TV whenever it is on. The only question is what they learn. Children are natural active learners. Participants learn how to help children develop healthy viewing habits, and get the most from their screen time. In this workshop, participants make shakers and drums they use to practice active viewing of a music segment.

- Watch no more than 1 to 2 hours a day
- View TV together with kids
- Talk back! Good TV should be interactive
