KCTS 9 Educational Workshops: Celebrating Diversity
Integrating children who speak a different language and teaching the value of diversity.
Being surrounded by people who don't speak your language is an intimidating experience. Not being able to express yourself can be lonely and discouraging as well as dangerous if an emergency occurs. In this workshop we explore what we can do to ease the integration of a child who speaks a different language. Participants learn how to care for children of different backgrounds or languages and strategies to help children appreciate others and succeed in the diverse world in which they live.
