If you're looking for the warmth of Greece, go no further than lower Queen Anne. Or if Northern Italian is your preference, then Kirkland is the place to go. But if Mexican is what warms you up, head down to Burien.
Would be nice if the diners could confine their reviews to the restaurant and not make stereotypical and damaging (and untrue) snarky comments about an entire community. The man's snide and sarcastic remarks about Burien were infuriating. Perhaps if he or the show's producers came back down here and asked one of our local leaders to take them around, they'd find out that we're a great, vibrant community with a lovely downtown core and, wonder of wonders, a number of successful and appealing restaurants that are not the kind that serve to reinforce tired stereotypes about Burien that those north of Georgetown love to chuckle about. What a jerk.
Would it be too much to ask that the diners write down the names of the dishes you had, since you can't remember? A list of ingredients isn't quite the same as knowing what you ordered. Just sayin'.

"Check, Please! Northwest" features local diners, not professional restaurant critics. Each week three guests dine out at and discuss their favorite restaurants.
If you would like to tell our viewers about your favorite local eatery (restaurant, supper club, diner, lunch cafe, dive, hole-in-the-wall, stand, etc.) on "Check, Please!," let us know!
Amy Pennington has been an ingredient in Seattle's restaurant scene since working at Tom Douglas's Palace Kitchen nearly 15 years ago. When not in the kitchen she's produced KIRO radio's weekly In the Kitchen with Tom & Thierry and has taught classes at Seattle Culinary Academy and Bastyr University.
Her first book, Urban Pantry, was named one of 2010's Best Cookbooks by Amazon.com. Her most recent book is Apartment Gardening–Plants Projects and Recipes for Growing Food in Your Urban Home.
Amy tells us she's excited to work with KCTS 9 and Check, Please! Northwest guests. "Check, Please! takes my favorite things—eating good food, dining out and entertaining people—and wraps them up in one awesome show." We're just as excited to have Amy be part of our new show's northwest flavor.

Completely agree. A notebook would have been very helpful for your reviewers.
