Small and thin kitchen gadgets such as turkey trussers and pastry tips fall through the slots in a dishwasher's silverware container. Small items stay put and still get clean when you first layer a nylon pot scrubber in the bottom of a section of the tray.

I recently saw part of the Leonard Cohen - Live in London DVD at a friend's house. I was excited to see it listed in the KCTS program guide as an upcoming feature.
What was presented was a standard definition version with 16x9 picture. I could not have been more disappointed.
The station has had a very long time to prepare for the conversion to high definition.
How can KCTS expect to stay relevant by offering a low quality presentation of such a great performance?

Dear Glenn,
I'm in charge of programming at KCTS 9 and I appreciate your post about the Leonard Cohen program you watched recently. FYI, we try to broadcast in widescreen format whenever we can, because we know our HD viewers prefer that format for their 16x9 screens. Unfortunately, some programs still come to us as having been produced in the older 4x3 format. (We have no control over how outside producers make their shows.) In such cases, black bars are added to either side of the picture for viewers with 16x9 (widescreen) sets. We know this can be disappointing for some viewers, but the only alternative is not to air those programs at all. In this case, we opted to broadcast the program as provided to us because we believed there would be viewer interest.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, and for watching KCTS 9.
Best wishes,
Randy Brinson
