The production interns at KCTS 9 are proud to announce a new web series, Puget Sound Bytes. Every few weeks we’ll get answers to some pressing questions from people like you. We take our camera into the community and get the pulse of the people.
Last month I posted a note about my post graduation worries, especially in today’s economy. To find out how other students are faring, I went out with interns Stephanie Beechem and Danny Hahn to Red Square at the University of Washington to ask how the economy is affecting students’ post graduations plans. Take a look at our first video below and check out the original blog posting.

The economic downturn is apparent at my school (Seattle Central Community College). The number of people going back to school as a result of being layed off from their jobs has skyrocketed.
Help centers like WorkSource, FASC and the YWCA has seen a spike in unemployed and homeless folks needing help.
