There is nothing I like more than a behind-the-scenes video (except for maybe a blooper reel, and god knows I have puh-lenty of bloopers every time we tape) and I'm stoked that the awesome team on Check, Please! NW got ours up and running.
Amy Pennington has been an ingredient in Seattle's restaurant scene since working at Tom Douglas's Palace Kitchen nearly 15 years ago. When not in the kitchen she's produced KIRO radio's weekly In the Kitchen with Tom & Thierry and has taught classes at Seattle Culinary Academy and Bastyr University.
Her first book, Urban Pantry, was named one of 2010's Best Cookbooks by Amazon.com. Her most recent book is Apartment Gardening–Plants Projects and Recipes for Growing Food in Your Urban Home.
Amy tells us she's excited to work with KCTS 9 and Check, Please! Northwest guests. "Check, Please! takes my favorite things—eating good food, dining out and entertaining people—and wraps them up in one awesome show." We're just as excited to have Amy be part of our new show's northwest flavor.
